Att bo i Baobabhuset är en underbar upplevelse.  Dagen börjar med  att vakna av tuppens sång för att sedan hälsa de förbigående byggarbertarna en god morgon. Efter frukosten pumpas det upp vatten från de vattenfyllda tankarna som fick en riklig påfyllning efter gårdagens regn. Sedan bär det ut till siten, för att höra om dagens mål och schema.

Denna dag ska uppdateringar av ritningarna ske då vissa förändringar har skett. Exempelvis så är silon, containern för matförvaring mycket större än förväntat! Slutet gott, allt ordnade sig! Det är som man säger, hakuna matata!

Nu väntar vi på den nya volontären Louis Castaing som ska anlända under dagen. Louis är arkitektstuderande på Chalmers Tekniska Högskola och påbörjar sitt tredje år nu i höst!

Tillsammans äter vi maten Makhande.  ”Ja koola Makhande! ” sade en av byggarna och blev en av våra första fraser på swahili.   ” Jag äter Makhande ” blir översättningen…

Helgen som gick fick vi vinka av vår vän Ludvig.  Vi spenderade sista dagen tillsammans på det nuvarande Econef barncentret för en härlig dag med barnen.  Två unga och härliga energifyllda flickor, Jacqueline och Brenda  visade oss runt på området och introducerade även oss för aporna som hoppade över våra huvuden i skogen!
