Vi hade fullt upp med att g\u00f6ra budgetar till resterande byggmoment, \u00e5kte till Arusha och kollade upp priser och var ocks\u00e5 en del med barnen som just d\u00e5 hade studieuppeh\u00e5ll och var mycket p\u00e5 siten f\u00f6r att sk\u00f6rda och torka majs, samt fylla p\u00e5 majskorn i majss\u00e4ckar mm. Vi kunde d\u00e5 ocks\u00e5 h\u00f6ra vad barnen tyckte om ex. f\u00e4rgerna till fondv\u00e4ggarna. (P\u00e5 bilden m\u00e5las grundf\u00e4rgen, f\u00e4rgerna p\u00e5 fondv\u00e4ggarna \u00e4r bl\u00e5, gr\u00f6n, r\u00f6d och gul.)<\/p>\n

Efter att ha bott ca en m\u00e5nad i Baobabhuset tillsammans med Selina, ett av barnen fr\u00e5n barnhemmet, har jag nu f\u00e5tt s\u00e4llskap av tv\u00e5 nya volont\u00e4rer, Hannes och Alexander.<\/p>\n

Mycket har h\u00e4nt p\u00e5 bygget den senaste m\u00e5naden.<\/p>\n

Snickaren har monterat en prototypd\u00f6rr och karmar till alla husen. P\u00e5 bilden till h\u00f6ger Selina som \u00f6ppnar f\u00f6rsta d\u00f6rren p\u00e5 plats.<\/p>\n

\u00c4ven f\u00f6nster har levererats till f\u00f6rsta huset, nu v\u00e4ntar vi p\u00e5 att de ska leverera till n\u00e4sta hus.<\/p>\n

Vi har haft tv\u00e5 team p\u00e5\u00a0 fem personer vardera som har putsat v\u00e4ggar och byggt upp b\u00e4nkar och tv\u00e4ttst\u00e4ll. Nu fixas murbruk vid d\u00f6rrar och f\u00f6nster innan man kan b\u00f6rja m\u00e5la v\u00e4ggar.<\/p>\n

\u00c4ven Mr Iddi har varit h\u00e4r och lagt r\u00f6r till gr\u00e5vattenplanteringarna och ritat ut layouten f\u00f6r tillvattenr\u00f6ren fr\u00e5n vattentankar och till waterheaters. Nu gr\u00e4vs det f\u00f6r fullt, och i dagarna ska vi \u00e5ka till Arusha f\u00f6r att inhandla alla r\u00f6r som beh\u00f6vs.<\/p>\n

Samtidigt har ingenj\u00f6ren och hans team b\u00f6rjat bygga p\u00e5 muren som ska omsluta g\u00e5rdarna. Perforeringarna i muren g\u00f6r att luft kan komma igenom och ljuset \u00e4r j\u00e4ttefint p\u00e5 kv\u00e4llen! De har \u00e4ven b\u00f6rjat gr\u00e4va inne p\u00e5 g\u00e5rdarna f\u00f6r de olika niv\u00e5erna. Mycket jord m\u00e5ste lyftas bort f\u00f6r att ge plats \u00e5t compact soil, en mer kompakt jord som \u00e4r b\u00e4ttre att l\u00e4gga betonggolven och stenen p\u00e5.<\/p>\n
